My Artwork

For as long as I can remember, I have been making messes. Messes on canvas, with clay, on walls, every surface I could get my hands on. Some of the best years of my life have happened at Valdosta State University, where I was in the art program for 6 years. It was a place of expression, discussion, and community.

Lately I have been experimenting with fluid acrylics and mixed media. I enjoy juxtaposing beautiful images with charcoal drawings, snippets from magazines, and bright colors.

Art has been a form of survival for me. A safer form of expression. A space to express my inner turmoil and at times peace – but a space where my thoughts can remain camouflaged and hidden from plain sight. A space where words are less important. Thanks for looking šŸ™‚
